We have had tons of rain in central Florida, and it brings to mind that if your vents are damaged, its probably got a pretty good leak. You wont see it, its but its getting water into the thickness of your roof decking, and that’s usually plywood. Plywood is pretty water resistant on the surface, but the glue holding the layers together isn’t, and that’s where this water is going. So its going to start rotting the wood away fairly quickly. Over 15 or so years, your decking will likely need to be replaced, and that’s not cheap. A Critter Quitter is a very inexpensive way to stop further damage from occurring, or if you have a new roof stopping it from ever starting. Something to consider
