To answer the concern about hurricanes, Critter Quitters are mounted with 4 stainless steel self-tapping screws that will bite deeply into the PVC pipe if properly installed. This produces a very secure mount. We have thousands in Florida and have had no reports of them coming loose during Hurricane Irma or any other storm.
