Do Critter Quitters Violate Code

We have never had an issue with code. We have applied for code review and been instructed code does not apply as it’s an after-market product that has no structural components and is easily removed. It’s been cleared by Florida Product Approval and Texas Dept of Insurance, which are the governing bodies for these types of products in their states.
In addition, we have sold thousands to homeowners and real estate agents that use them to pass inspection and have never had an issue.
There is no restriction of air flow, the design is sufficient to allow enough air to flow with no effect on performance.
