In my previous post I showed some 4 inch vent covers that we made. To clarify, a 4 inch vent has a 5 inch flashing. Actually its about 5 3/8 inch, but its rounded to nearest inch.
Lead flashing is always about an inch larger than the pipes outside diameter. So a 1 1/2 inch vent will have about a 2 1/2 inch flashing diameter, a 2 inch a 3 inch flashing, a 3 inch a 4 inch flashing, and a 4 inch a 5 inch flashing. Best way to measure is if you measure either pipe or lead at 3 inches or under, you need an A CQ. If its 4 inches you need a B, and if you measure 5 and a fraction you need an M.
