Remember, a CQ can be installed on an undamaged vent to keep it from becoming damaged. This is because the internal componants dont penentrate the vent, they hover above it. So if you have a new roof install CQ’s to protect your investment.

If you have no flashing left, you will need to re-flash. A CQ requires at least an inch of flashing left at the base around the vent to work. But once you reflash install a CQ and you will never have to worry about that again.
