Although Critter Quitters are not designed for rubber flashings, they can still be installed to protect the vent pipe from damage and keep animals out. Here is a picture of one on a rubber flashing.

Check out this damaged vent. Its chewed badly, in fact it may need to be replaced prior to a Critter Quitter being installed. You will notice the damage at the base of the vent, not just the top. Critter Quitters require lead intact at the bottom to complete the seal....
