Re-flashing vs Critter Quitters

Its important to remember that re-flashing is expensive and requires the removal of shingles around the vent. If the vent has been leaking for a while, this may require replacement of the plywood decking, an expensive proposition and it never looks quite the same again. Critter Quitters simply slid onto the existing damaged or undamaged flashing and stop the leak without the need to re-flash, and will last theoretically the life of the home. Plus they cost a lot less and take about 15 minutes to put on. So if you got damaged vents, or even undamaged ones, consider Critter Quitters before you call the roofer.
