One of our customers had a rare 7 inch vent. I didn’t even know these existed, and I make a living doing this. He wanted to try to modify our M unit, which is 6 inches in diameter, to fit. So we made a custom M with an unpainted short body to fit into a 8X6 reducer. He put this into the 6 inch end, and a section of 8 inch PVC into the 8 inch end, drilled some holes, and it worked.
