We have had some good inquiries recently. One concerned the amount of air being displaced. Remember, plumbing vents are there primarily to allow air to displace water as it flushed down the drain. If one does an inspection of a 2 inch vent on a roof, you will find that when the lead flashing is folded over the top, you are usually left with a 3/4-1 inch opening. I came across a vent one time that had a 1/2 inch opening, and this was more than satisfactory to displace the water. After all, you are only talking a toilet or shower, and thats not a lot of water per minute. We have not had any probems with any of our installations, so we stand by our claim that it will not effect vent function
