Do Critter Quitters require the flashing to be removed

We have had some enquiries about the flashing and does it require removal prior to installation of critter quitters. No, our vent shields are designed to slid over damaged flashing and protect it from squirrels while at the same time dropping the rain water into the vent keeping the damaged portion dry. They are not a flashing replacement, although we are working on this. Rather the are a flashing protector.
