We have had a few people say that 30 dollars for a Critter Quitter is expensive. “That means I have to send 120 dollars to fix my vents. That’s too much.”
But that’s short sighted. A leaking vent is rotting your decking and may cause serious roof leaks at some point. Also if you call a roofer to fix it, he is going to pull shingles, put on another lead flashing, put the shingles back, and charge at least 120 dollars a vent. Plus if the shingles are old they may have hardened and break, so it leaves an ugly repair.
So if you look at it from that point of view, Critter Quitters are a bargain. They look great, no shingle pulls, and you can do it yourself or call one of our installers. Something to think about before we get into the rainy season.
