Limbs and Pine Straw

As much as a pain it is, if you have pinestraw or limbs on your roof they can cause leakage and damage. Roofs are not waterproof, they are water resistant. They require water to flow off. If you have a pile of pinestraw interupting the smooth flow of water off the roof, it will back up and then it can leak. So keep your roof swept at least once per year, more if you live in a tree shedding area.
