Here is the latest Home Depot recommendation. 5 stars. Note this was on a 12 pitch roof. That’s 45 degrees, very steep.
These work very well and are easy to install (other than having to perch on a steep roof). I have a 12/12 slope roof which made the screws closest to the roof a bit hard to access so I had to use a right angle ratcheting screw driver on these. Also you may have to adjust the bottom cut a bit to ensure a tight fit next to the flashing as the slope here is sometimes slightly different from the adjoining roof.
