Most people take squirrels for granted, in fact many dont particularly care for them. They eat the bird seed. But they are important to the eco system. The provide a food source for preditors, they spread seeds, and they loosen soil. They have a hard enough time without having lead poisoning from lead flashing. So save some squirrels and protect your lead flashing. Its good for both you and them.
